BADAL FOR UPA GOVT’S NAME IN GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORD FOR RAMPANT CORRUPTION

GADKARI CONFIDENT OF STAGING COME BACK OF SAD-BJP

ANKUR SHARMA
FAZILKA AUGUST 11: Chief Minister Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal today said Congress led UPA government has surpassed all the records of rampant corruption and it was the most corrupt government in the world which would soon find mention in the ‘Guinness Book of World Record’.
Thousands of people from all walks of life today converged at here the local grain market on the occasion of the thanks giving rally organized by the BJP for the upgradation of Fazilka sub-division as District thereby fulfilling the long pending demand of the local residents.
Addressing a mammoth gathering here on the thanks giving rally organized by the BJP after the up-gradation of Fazilka sub-division as new district, S. Badal said UPA government had almost lost the confidence of the public and therefore, it has no moral right to continue in the office. He said scams and scandals were the order of the day in Congress led UPA government. S. Badal said Centre’s gross discrimination and apathetic attitude towards Punjab had virtually reduced our position to beggars. He said our state was being denied its due share in the revenue collected by Centre from the states which was just a mockery on the part of Indian federalism. He said the maladies like unemployment, illiteracy, poverty and inflation had enormously affected the life of common man (Aam Adami) to whom the Congress claimed to be champion for safeguarding his rights but on the contrary it was indulging in sheer exploitation of the common man for its own vested interests.
            S. Badal further said the SAD-BJP alliance would comfortably repeat the next government in Punjab after the assembly polls.  He appealed the people not to be complacent in their fight both in SGPC general elections and subsequently the assembly elections after two months to ensure the victory of SAD. He said gone were the days when it was a tradition in the state that the ruling party never came in power after assembly polls. He asserted this myth would be proved wrong as SAD--BJP would again form the government in the state as contrary to the tall claims of Congress of routing us from the state politics. He said Congress was living in fool’s paradise if it was still contemplating of winning elections in Punjab despite the fact of rampant corruption and administrative failure at the helm of affairs in Centre.
Training guns at Congress leadership in the state, S.Badal said it has been exposed of its double speak being claiming to be secular on one hand and meddling in the Sikh religious affairs on the other.
In his address President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister S.Sukhbir Singh Badal said the creation of Fazilka as new district was a gift to the residents of this town. He said the people of the area deserved Fazilka to be a district in view of its historic importance and therefore, the Chief Minister generously conceded to the demand raised by the local MLA.  He said SAD-BJP government was sensitized to the problems of people at the grass root levels whereas the Congress never bothered about their genuine problems for the reasons best known to them.  He said SAD-BJP alliance had drawn a roadmap to ensure overall development and prosperity in the state over a period of next 25 years. He pointed out several path breaking initiatives have been taken in the field of power, infrastructure, education and social security and hope Punjab it soon become a power surplus state in the country. He sought support from the people of Punjab to bring SAD-BJP alliance again in power so that the unaccomplished agenda could be implemented in the right earnest.
Virtually kick starting his party’s election campaign, the National President of BJP Mr. Nitin Gadkari in his address said the SAD-BJP alliance had ushered an era of overall development and prosperity in the state.  Mr.Gadkari said he was confident that SAD-BJP would repeat government after the forthcoming assembly elections exclusively on the plank of development and performance.
Appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal for giving the status of district to the historic towns of Fazilka and Pathankot had certainly boost the moral of the rank and file of the BJP in the state.  On the other hand, congress had been befooling the people and playing havoc with the sentiments of the local residents by making false promises to accord the status of district to Fazilka.
Lambasting at the Congress government at Centre for its involvement in the bungling in CWC, Mr. Gadkari said the organizing committee under the chairmanship of Suresh Kalmadi spent 980 crore on the renovation of Jawaharlal Nehru stadium whereas it merely needed 200 crore for the entire works as pointed by the CAG in its report.
Earlier the Local MLA and Transport Minister Mr. Surjit Kumar Jiyanai in his welcome address expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for making Fazilka as a district.
Prominent amongst others who spoke on the occasion were President State Unit of BJP Punjab Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Incharge Punjab Affairs of BJP Mr. Shanta Kumar, National General Secretary Mr. JP Naddha, Mr. Tikshan Sud and Mr. Arunesh Shakir (both Cabinet Minister), MP Lok Sabha Mr. Sher Singh Gubaya, MP Rajyasabha Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, CPS Mr. KD Bhandari and former state President of BJP Mr.Brij Lal Rinwa. Senior party leaders and workers of BJP and SAD also present on the occasion

i Love My Fazilka
